Our hourly rates for handyman repair service calls:

Start at $89* for the first hour of each trip and $59 an hour after that (that’s for 1 employee)

These are the typical cash or check hourly rates for labor we charge our customers for hourly handyman repairs (not including materials or dump disposal fees). If your handyman project requires 2 or more employees (height of repair, size of project, safety requirements etc.) we would send 2 or more of our employees to your home or office at higher rates than stated above.

We charge for all time allotted to a customer’s hourly handyman repairs, including purchasing and delivering materials, or offsite work like painting lumber prior to an installation, or for the time to dispose of debris. This allows us to take on smaller projects for our property owner clients, rather than only lump sum projects with much higher minimums to show up.

Thanks to our processing partner Paypal, we do accept most major credit and debit cards now! Rates are slightly higher, please call our office for all of the details.

*First hour of work charge is from $89 to $119 depending on the work site zip code. Some exclusions do apply, like commercial companies, or for same-day, after hours or weekend service. Cities outside of our coverage map will be charged additional travel costs. We would be happy to answer any of your pricing questions, please call for details!

A real live person will (usually, unless every line is tied up or the Zombie apocalypse has finally happened) answer!

Our office is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm “California Time”.

We are available by phone after hours and on weekends for emergencies.

Great Question! Edward’s Enterprises Hourly Repairs is usually available:

Office: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm by phone in our office to schedule projects and ask questions about repair jobs.

Field: As far as scheduling work, for our typical rates listed above (I know we didn’t skip that section) we normally schedule work Monday through Friday from 7am to 4pm (holidays, meetings, kids with flus may affect availability).

Most projects get a 2 hour window of arrival, so expect something like 7am to 9am, or 10am to 12pm, or even 1pm to 3pm window.

If you need us to come outside of those times, expect to pay a bit more, or experience different restrictions like job minimums, etc.

We are available for emergency hourly repair work based on a first come first serve system and whether or not we have a crew available. Expect to pay more for these types of calls (we have employees and overtime is what it is).

To see if we can handle a hourly repair job at your home or office, you can check a few places:

There is a helpful site menu drop down called “Cities” (ADD LINK LATER). Select that and you can see if your city is in our “service area”.

You can review the city list below.

You can visit Our Cities Page which is really just a “Cities” list page (don’t tell the page menu, it just makes it jealous).

You can call us at 805-987-2441 and give us your “exact” coordinates.

If you don’t see your community on the list, but you’re close by give us a call. We may be able to service your repair request for an additional minimum hour charge and/or travel charge.

It’s important when, why & who handles those little repairs around your property:

WAITING can lead to WADING: Repairing small issues when they are first noticed can protect from the risk of further damage occurring which could lead to larger issues requiring replacements or renovations. Many customers who report large losses due to flooding report that they saw or were aware of a leaky pipe, or old water heater, or blocked drain in the days, weeks or months leading up to a claim but thought that they had time to handle it, only to come home from a weekend away to quite the surprise. Don’t let a small toilet leak lead to a new indoor swimming pool!

Great Tips for Handyman Repair Projects

Toilet rocks every time you use it? Many times this is caused by an unevenness in the floor around the toilet. If you are sure it isn’t just a loose floor bolt, plastic toilet shims can be purchased from your local hardware store & installed as needed to reduce movement in the toilet (while not always necessary, if a customer has a rocking toilet we prefer to remove & replace the wax seal at this time to prevent voids created by the movement of the bowl over time that could let out sewer gas). A little caulking can hold the shims in place.
